How One Laptop Per Child Can Save The World

Wars, poverty, and disease are almost always the result of an unequal distribution of wealth. Giving one laptop per child is the antithesis to all of these negative scenarios. It is the mission of many to provide every child on the planet with their own personal computer. The following article will review how this mission is being fulfilled and how one laptop per child can truly save the world.
War is almost always due to misinformation. A lack of information leads to poor decision making no matter how smart the individual making the decision may be. The introduction of the Internet to the world has truly improved the thinking skills of every person on the planet who can access it, because the Internet is full of information about every subject imaginable.
Individuals who do not have access to this information though are at an incredible disadvantage. Not only are the individuals who do not have access to the Internet completely unaware of the many advances that are being made in technology, but they are even unaware of the more obvious evolution in social circumstances that have been unfolding since the world became one through the introduction of the Internet.
This lack of information has created a very large gap between wealthy nations and poverty stricken nations. These disparities can be erased by providing every child on the planet with the knowledge and resources they need to fully develop into functioning citizens who benefit those around them in a multitude of ways.
The widespread use of computers and the Internet will likely improve the lives of every single individual on the planet, for the introduction of computers and the Internet to the world's populations will ultimately increase everyone's awareness of the newfound movement of tolerance that is spreading like wildfire, but more importantly, it will give children who grow up in environments that lack in educational resources a chance to grow beyond the lives their parents have lived.
Through the use of computers and the Internet, children can learn new languages, new skills, and they can even learn about new cultures. After observing the lives of just a single group of kids who have recently been introduced to the world of computers and the Internet, it is quite easy to see how one laptop per child can save the world by ending wars, ending poverty, and increasing social tolerance around the globe.
